2. Purpose of Inspection

Mexpert exclusively provides inspection services and does not have any association with the vehicle seller. Mexpert remains neutral and does not offer a recommendation regarding your decision to purchase the vehicle. Mexpert does not verify the seller’s legal authority to sell the vehicle, and therefore, cannot be held accountable for any claims or statements made by the seller or any other parties involved.

3. Pre Purchase Inspection is not either a warranty or insurance

The inspection conducted by Mexpert should not be considered a warranty or insurance policy for any vehicle. By purchasing a vehicle that has been inspected by Mexpert, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for all expenses related to repairs and maintenance, regardless of whether they are covered by any other insurance policy or warranty. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether a vehicle is under warranty or adequately insured before making a purchase decision.

Once again, a pre-purchase inspection conducted by Mexpert offers valuable clarity and transparency regarding the condition of a car. However, it’s important to note that this inspection does not provide a guarantee or warranty for your car purchase. Mexpert’s inspection serves as an independent assessment to assist you in making an informed decision. It is essential to understand that Mexpert is not liable for any costs associated with repairs and maintenance on your vehicle. It is client’s responsibility to assess the inspection findings and make your own decision regarding the purchase, taking into account the information provided by Mexpert.

4. Inspection service on “as-is” condition

The vehicle being inspected is considered a “used” vehicle, and as such, it will be purchased by you in its existing “as is” condition, unless the seller provides any specific warranty. It’s important to note that the vehicle’s condition can potentially change between the time of inspection and the actual purchase. Therefore, we strongly recommend scheduling the inspection as close as possible to the purchase date. Please be aware that the Mexpert report does not serve as a substitute for any mandatory safety or emissions inspections required by applicable state laws. It is essential to understand that the Mexpert inspection does not provide a warranty for any vehicle you may purchase. Your rights to seek compensation for any defects in the vehicle, whether or not disclosed in the Mexpert report, are limited to any warranties offered by the seller.

5. Factors that could affect inspection services quality

Mexpert inspections are subject to potential limitations caused by weather and lighting conditions, as well as the cleanliness of the vehicle both internally and externally at the time of inspection. It’s important to note that various external factors, beyond our control, can impact the accuracy of the inspection, making it challenging to identify certain aspects such as repainting or bodywork with the naked eye. To obtain the most precise inspection report, it is crucial that the vehicle is clean, dry, and positioned in a well-lit location during the inspection.

However, it should be understood that Mexpert does not undertake any actions that may affect the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection. Therefore, we strongly advise contacting the seller and arranging the necessary preparations to ensure the vehicle is as clean as possible and accessible in a suitable location for inspection.

Furthermore, Mexpert cannot guarantee that car dealerships will permit the presence of accompanying automotive mechanics. It is the responsibility of each customer to verify whether it is permissible to accompany a mechanic during the inspection. Failure to do so may affect the quality of service provided by Mexpert, and in such cases, full or partial refunds may not be granted.

6. Limits of Liability

The services provided by Mexpert are offered “as is” and “as available,” without any expressed or implied warranties. This includes warranties of title, non-infringement, or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The terms and descriptions of our products or services do not constitute a representation or warranty regarding them. By using our services, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk. Mexpert’s liability is limited to refunding the price paid for the Mexpert inspection.

Mexpert, its affiliates, and agents will not be liable under any circumstances for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or any vehicle, regardless of whether the damages are based on contract, tort, strict liability, or other legal theories, even if the possibility of such damages has been advised.

7. Cancellation

Once your order is placed, we consider every reservation to be final. This means that you are unable to make changes to your service time, date, or any other details. However, you have the option to cancel your reservation up to 2 days before the scheduled date, and in such cases, you will receive a 90% refund. Please note that refunds are not available for cancellations made within 2 days of the reservation date. This policy is in place to ensure fairness to other customers, as your reservation status may impact their ability to select a suitable time slot.

In certain instances, there may be occasions where our partner is unable to proceed with a pre-purchase inspection, despite a client having already reserved our inspection services. This can occur due to unforeseen events or circumstances that prevent our partner from carrying out the inspection as scheduled. These events could include sudden emergencies or other unexpected situations that arise, making it impossible for the partner mechanic to conduct the inspection.

Additionally, if the location specified by the customer for the inspection is excessively distant from our partner’s location, it may pose logistical challenges that prevent the mechanic from reaching the designated area in a timely manner. In such cases, it may be necessary for our partner to contact Mexpert and request the cancellation of the reservation.

We kindly ask for your understanding in these situations, as we strive to provide the best service possible. While we make every effort to ensure the smooth execution of our pre-purchase inspection services, unforeseen circumstances and logistical constraints can occasionally impact the scheduled inspections. Rest assured that our partner will communicate any such issues promptly, and we will work together to find a suitable solution, whether it involves rescheduling the inspection or providing an alternative solutions.

8. Refund Policy after Inspection

If you believe there are any inaccuracies in the inspection report, it is important to bring them to our attention. You can do this by submitting your concerns to us via email (please contact our business email) within seven (7) days. In your submission, please provide pictures and specific details that address the issue(s) you have identified. We will carefully review your submission for consideration of a refund, taking into account the nature of the concern and the information provided. It is crucial to note that all submissions must be received by Mexpert within seven (7) days of the report being delivered to you. This timeframe allows us to thoroughly assess and address any potential discrepancies in a timely manner.

9. Taxes and Service Fess

During the checkout process, we collect applicable taxes, such as VAT or GST, based on the regulations of your payment account. Please note that the specific taxes collected may vary depending on your payment method and location. It is important to understand that our service prices are inclusive of various fees, including the inspection service fee, as well as additional service fees. These additional fees encompass payment transaction fees and distance fees, which account for the travel costs incurred by our partner to reach your specified location. By including these fees in the service prices, we aim to provide a transparent and all-encompassing pricing structure for our customers.

10. Service Rules

By using our pre-purchase inspection service, you acknowledge and agree to communicate exclusively with our assigned inspector during the inspection process. It is important to refrain from contacting the inspector directly after the inspection is completed. Any attempt to bypass Mexpert’s involvement and establish a separate inspection agreement with the inspector without our consent will be considered a violation of our terms and conditions. In such cases, Mexpert reserves the right to cancel the inspection and retain the payment made for the service. This policy ensures the integrity and professionalism of our inspection process, as well as protects the interests of all parties involved.

11. Negotiations with Dealers

The primary purpose of Mexpert’s pre-purchase inspection is to provide you with an accurate assessment of the true value of the used car you are considering to buy. This empowers you with clear and transparent information about the status of the used car, allowing you to make an informed decision. With this knowledge, you have the option to either decline the purchase if the car’s condition is unsatisfactory or negotiate potential discounts with the car dealership. However, it’s important to note that while Mexpert strives to provide the best service, they do not guarantee that every client will receive discounts from the dealer or provide support in disputes between the client and the dealer.

12. Legal Bindings of Inspection Service

We understand the importance of providing a detailed explanation regarding the limitations of our pre-purchase inspection service. Due to the restricted circumstances and environments in which these inspections take place, it is important to note that we cannot offer an absolute guarantee of 100% accuracy regarding the status of the car. While our highly trained inspectors strive to assess the vehicle comprehensively, certain factors beyond our control may influence the outcome of the inspection.

Furthermore, it is essential to emphasize that our inspection services do not involve dismantling or disassembling vehicle parts on-site. Consequently, our partner mechanics are unable to access the internal components and systems of the vehicle during the inspection process. This limitation restricts our ability to provide a complete evaluation of the internal condition of the car.

Additionally, it’s important to consider that the overall status of a vehicle can be influenced by various factors, such as the driving skills and maintenance practices of previous owners. Each driver’s habits and maintenance routines may differ, leading to variations in the condition and performance of the vehicle over time. These factors are outside the scope of our inspection and can impact the overall reliability and performance of the car.

Therefore, we must emphasize that any accidents or issues that may occur subsequent to the pre-purchase inspection cannot be solely attributed to the imperfections or limitations of our service. While we strive to provide the most accurate assessment possible, unforeseen circumstances or pre-existing issues may arise that were not detectable during the inspection. Consequently, Mexpert cannot be held legally bound or assume responsibility for compensations related to any accidents or issues that may occur after the inspection process is completed.

We encourage all customers to consider these limitations and exercise their own judgment when making a purchasing decision based on the results of our pre-purchase inspection. It is crucial to take into account other factors such as personal preferences, budget, and individual risk tolerance when finalizing a decision to purchase a used car.

13. Inspection Report

Mexpert specializes in providing comprehensive pre and post-inspection reports, aiming to enhance transparency in vehicle condition and history. Leveraging data from esteemed sources like Vinaudit Canada, Canada Transportation, and the United States’ NMVTIS, we strive to present a clear picture of a vehicle’s past. However, it’s important to note that our reports, based on external data and the vehicle’s current state, are not absolute guarantees. They serve as informative tools rather than definitive warranties. Therefore, Mexpert holds no liability for decisions made during a client’s used car purchase and is not subject to legal issues or responsibilities
